  1. That quote reminds me of Heraclitus:

    Homer was wrong in saying, "Would that strife might perish from amongst gods and men". For if that were to occur, then all things would cease to exist.

    (which is not to say that Fuller's tension is exactly the same as Heraclitus' strife but I see some correspondence)

    also:

    Opposition brings concord. Out of discord comes the fairest harmony.
